My advertising journey is like climbing this mountain. There’s no clear path, no finish line. Just detours, realigning goals and the occasional existential crisis.
Like everyone else, I didn’t plan to be an ad creative. I started as a relief teacher. Then a designer for a 1920s-inspired bar. I later found I was drawn to ideas that felt a little off but landed just right. Not long after, I went on to work at Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy and Lazada.
Over the years, I’ve made soccer balls out of scrap paper, helped a Polish airline drop the beat and shaped creative for one of Southeast Asia’s biggest e-commerce brands. Those ideas only worked because of tight collaboration with artists, producers and directors throughout the region.
Right now, I’m open to projects that make people pause, laugh or actually connect. After all, like any climb, it’s about making something worth sharing when you look back.
